Steve Mullarkey has been a gooner for 20 odd years. He instantly became hooked after standing on the North Bank with his dad and his brother for a game v Watford, early in the Graham era. He spent those formative years trying to see Arsenal as much as possible and talking about little else. School reports from this time point out that Steve "can become a little distracted by the notion of football!". Highlights, include Anfeild 89 (spent jumping around his bedroom in Harrow, NW London), and the title of win of 91. He also vividly remembers a home game v Sheffield Wednesday when he was carried from the back of the North Bank right to the front, as the boys piled in 6 goals in 18 minutes. Lowlights include having to endure a Gus Ceasar comedy show during the 1988 Littlewoods Cup Final v Luton Town.
Steve moved to the Clock End when the North Bank was demolished in 1992. Highlights from this time include the Cup Winners Cup Final V Parma, and the birth of the Wenger revolution - including the title win at Old Trafford in 2002. His Mrs is still banned from going. She had previously atended two games (home v Boro - lost 0-3 with two own goals, and home v Charlton -lost 2-4 with a own goal by our keeper!).
Steve moved to Perth in 2002, and can be found nowadays getting up at 3am to watch the boys play in the Carling Cup!
