Re: Kieran Gibbs
I think Traore is injured, as he missed the League Cup game agst Livepool.
I guess Silvestre may fill in at Left Back, can play there and I guess he's next in line. Vermaelen and Gallas can play left back, but better not to change them from the centre of defence.
Anyone else can play there???

Re: Kieran Gibbs
i think its between eboue, traore and silvest. im pretty sure traore is back
eboue would be best fit since he knows the team dynamic well, plays fullback regularly albeit at RB so he'll need a bit of adjusting
traore would seem the best fit as he is a natural LB, but he may be a bit inexperienced for a very tough away game at sunderland
silvest would be my least favourite of the bunch. altho he provides experience, is left-footed and may provide a tad more defensive steel on the left side (as he is less likely to press forward n get caught on the counter like clichy n gibbs) he is too slow to play fullback n would get beaten easily for pace n this would be exploited by sunderland
its one for wenger to ponder, but im hoping its one of eboue or traore...

Re: Kieran Gibbs
Good analysis Mash.
I reckon Traore should get a go at some stage, either at LB or at LW. He's got talent, and was decent for Pompey last year, and has been good for the reserves in the past.
You're probably right in that Eboue is the best fit, but maybe play Eboue in the league and Traore in the CL since we've almost qualified.

Re: Kieran Gibbs
Traore struggled a bit against Sunderland I thought.
We provides a bit going forward, but still needs to get into the game a little more, but needs to work on his defensive side.
