Yeah,i don't mind manny i think he is the least of our problems Gallas has played ok he's just trouble he's scored some important goals for us since he arrived but still trouble.Eboue goes without saying at least he didn't cost much.Silvestre i could see his thinking but passed it now.Cygan only played well when he left.Jeffers was a disaster 9 million pound from Everton,we've had a few over the years.

Just like to say well done Jake 02:54 is the time tag on your post giving the links to Arsenal.com. Get some sleep mate.

So at last it's done. Why are we hearing he may not play on Sunday because he's not match fit? This deal hardly happened out the blue!

Great news, lets hope he lives up to the hype. He's not match fit as the russian league finished in November but hopefully he'll get that sorted asap!.....

im jus thinkin a midfield with nasri cesc rosicky arshavin n with walcott n vela to come on as impact, thats simply mouthwatering! hopefully arshavin can adapt quickly like nasri n inject some fluidity n creativity in our play! he probs wont play against spurs but he'll be in the stands and this game will be a perfect introduction for him to the intensity and passion of the EPL...god i hope we win!

I'm impressed by the positivity Mash!

I'd like to see Arshavin on the bench, as although he's not match fit, he might be useful for a 20 min impact performance. He's been on pre-season training with Zenit in Dubai so hopefully he'll be ok.

It'll be interesting to see how quickly he adapts to the pace of the English game. Russian players haven't adapted well in the past, although there haven't been a lot of examples in the past.

I have to say, I've been a bit sceptical of the Arshavin signing, but it looks like we've got a decent deal in the end and although he's 27, he should give us a few decent years service and has achieved a lot of honours in Russia.

If Arshavin can adapt to the EPL half as well as Nasri has and with the players coming back from injury we could have a great finish to the season i think we can get 2nd spot. :D :D

Eboue cost SFA and was a solid RB until Sagna came = not s**t

Silvestre isn't a first team regular, hasn't played much and has been a bit rubbish but for what we paid = not s**t

Gallas is a C*** but is still a good player and hasn't let us down too often = not s**t

Almunia has not lost us many games, not like Crazy Jens = not s**t

Reyes was even a good signing though it didn't work out.

There is a difference between a s**t signing and a bad outcome to a signing. Jeffers was a s**t signing, Suker was a s**t signing, almost every player tottenham have got over the last 10 years have been s**t signing.

Some of the ones you mention aren't s**t signings but bad outcomes in the end, that can't be helped as you don't know what will happen in the future
There's only 1 Arsene Wenger

VICTORIA CONCORDIA CRESCIT

Don't blame it on Henry,
don't blame it on the injuries,
don't blame it on the referees,
blame it on Eboue!

Dundee i can see your logic but if you pay a fortune ie Reyes and it doesn't work out=crap signing.

Absolutely right about those signings.

I think Jeffers has to be the worst signing Wenger has made considering the cost and how successful he's been. There were a few ordinary signings in his early years, but the fact that he hasn't spent much on players means that there's very few bad signings that Wenger has made.

We've had some ordinary players, but very few players that have been bad signings.

Andrey has come out and called himself a Gooner (he got that pretty early) and when asked about Pavlichenko (or what ever his name is) he just responded "He is not a friend of mine" he has said he is keen to play against the scum and would nothing better than to play apart in a win at shite hart to prove his commitment... I am starting to warm to him already....

Arshavin Arshavin
He came from Petersburg
He f*** hates the spurs

If Arshavin can make even half of the plays for Arsenal as he does on Jake's youtube link he'll be a outstanding signing. Great link, I can see why Wenger would want him, he's a playmaker, can shoot from outside the box, not afraid to take on a keeper, can play well with both feet from left and right wings, can chip, create brilliant assists, is really fast, and can change his pace and direction in an instant..........he appears to display some of the classic yet varied characteristics of Rosicky, Pires, Bergkamp, Hleb and Van Nisteroy...........I'm excited!!!

Looking at that I don't think it will take him too long to fit in to Arsenal or the EPL... his passing and speed and ability to run at keepers and shoot from range is amazing.... you boys are right the thought of him and cesc in midfield with theo and nasri is an absolutley exciting prospect...

from what i know abt him all the games i saw him play..the euro semi against spain was the only one from memory that he was totally shut down..by marcos senna none the less..its funny in reality i was tracking him after euro..didnt think we would end up with him...

my only worry abt him is that a real quality cdm will be able to hold him..but a superior cdm like senna dosen't come round that often or in the prem league..or hav the exp of senna either! other than that i think he can be a solid player!

in case someone decides to point it out..i kno senna isnt religiously i cdm..but in the euro he was doing a good job of holding sharv...that's all im saying

He'll have his good games and his bad games.

The important thing is that he'll give us a bit more depth and he'll fit into our passing style.

He expects to be match fit in two weeks, so I don't think we'll see anything more than sub appearances until then.

I was impressed with his comments about the club when signing.

Most players make similar comments, although I thought it was great he called himself a gooner, which is something most players don't do, even when they've been here a while.

well it show's he's done his homework...and knows how to play into the fans hands..i think crowd support is important to him..and fair enough..if he proves himself then all the applauds will be well deserved..but he will be jealous of cesc.. as he and kolo are our 2 most beloved players still at the club!!

Still can't understand why Wenger didn't give him a start against Chelsea.
