Ticketing Updates – Season 2020/2021

Dear Members

Arsenal Australia Supporters Club has been advised by the Arsenal Football Club, that they will be trialing a new Fans access system in response to the Co-vid 19 pandemic issue currently being experienced around the world.

This season for the first time ever, Arsenal will be granting access to the Emirates with vastly restricted capacity arrangements. Initially, only current Gold and Platinum Season Ticket Holders will be able to apply for match tickets at the stadium. Even they will need to enter a Ballot’ to secure those tickets. For further details on the plans, who can apply and the process please go to:

As the season progresses, Arsenal is hoping that capacity numbers will gradually increase which allow more Fans to apply for tickets. However, we have been advised that it is unlikely that international Supporters Clubs, like ours, will be able to access tickets for some time, until the Co-vid situation is much improved.

Unfortunately here in Australia, we are currently unable to travel overseas anyway, except with special dispensation provided by the Federal Government. This scenario is not forecast to change for some time and certainly not before the end of 2020.

This is a sad scenario for Arsenal fans in Australia and indeed for those all over the world. Arsenal are trying to open the gates, but must do so responsibility with health and safety the primary concern for all Fans, and their phased opening is totally understandable in the current circumstances.

We will keep you all updated as and when the situation changes and we are advised.

In the meantime, we’ll continue to enjoy following the Gunners from afar on our devices. In some States where restrictions of gatherings have been relaxed we are still able to get together and watch in appropriately socially-distanced groups in our venues. Check in on your local Arsenal Australia Facebook Page for further information regarding upcoming match-day viewings and events planned.

Finally on a positive note, how good is it that we have already commenced the new season on a high?! Whilst we were all still basking in the glory of winning a record-breaking 14th FA Cup, within a month we continue our winning ways by beating the reigning PL Champions at our second home, Wembley, courtesy of a faultless exhibition of penalty–taking! Just brilliant stuff!

From all the Gooners here Downunder we wish Mikel and the Lads all the best for the new season.

Cheers & Come on you Gunners!

Tony
